NAR has cooperating agreements with 66 international real estate associations in 53 countries (as of November 2004). These countries are: Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Thailand, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Uruguay and Venezuela.

And in the Philippines, ONLY the PHILIPPINE ASSOCIATION OF
REALTORS BOARDS, INC. (PAREB) is considered a cooperating association of NAR.

PAREB is the only Philippine real estate service organization recognized by the NAR-USA and was instrumental in NAR-USA’s crafing of its present day cooperating international association agreements with various countries. The close relationship between PAREB and NAR dates back to November 2, 1960, when an agreement was signed between then NAREB (now NAR) President C. Arnel Nutter and then PAREB President Antonio Varias, wherein NAREB authorized PAREB to use the term " REALTOR" and to license Member Boards and Regular Board members to employ said patented term and the  REALTOR "R" trademark. The relationship was furthered bolstered on November 12, 1990, when a Supplemental Agreement was signed between PAREB IPP Ernesto Villamil and NAR President Norman Flynn, wherein NAR granted PAREB exclusive license to use and sublicense PAREB members to use the marks in the Philippines as a means of identifying themselves as real estate professionals who hold membership in PAREB and who are bound by its strict Code of Ethics.

Thus, in the Philippines, only members in good standing of the Philippine Association of
REALTORS Boards, Inc. (PAREB) are authorized to use the  REALTOR term and the  REALTOR "R" trademark.
